AI Performance Testing is more than a buzzword for us. It started as a lived problem and a promise to fix it. This origin story is the short version of why LoadMagic exists and why we believe Performance Testing needs an AI layer.
In plain terms, AI Performance Testing uses automation and intelligence to handle the tedious parts of scripting so humans can focus on test design, outcomes, and insights.
25 years in the trenches of Performance Testing
Our founder spent more than 25 years in Performance Testing across government systems, banks, retailers, and modern cloud platforms. Different projects, same story. The tools were powerful, but the work around them never stopped.
Correlation. Script debugging. Repetitive setup work that adds zero insight, just time. Every engagement brought the same heavy lifting.
The tinkerer mindset
Instead of accepting tool limitations, he kept asking, "What if we could make this better?" That led to plugins, automated workflows, and pushing tools like JMeter far beyond how they were meant to be used.
The turning point inside JMeter
Working deep inside JMeter made one thing clear. It is one of the most widely used Performance Testing tools in the world, but it is full of work that should be automated. That is when it clicked.
AI Performance Testing as the missing layer
This was not just one person's problem. It was everyone's problem. Performance Testing was crying out for AI to absorb the grunt work while keeping humans in control.
Traditional vs AI Performance Testing
Over the years, the same challenges kept appearing: fragile scripts, manual correlation, and rising maintenance costs as systems evolved.
We've documented these differences in a dedicated side-by-side comparison explaining how traditional Performance Testing differs from AI Performance Testing in practice.

What LoadMagic does today
LoadMagic.ai started as a passion project to scratch our own itch. Today, it is an AI Performance Testing engine that helps testers turn recordings, HAR files, and scripts into correlated, runnable tests in minutes, not days.
- Ingests recordings, HAR files, and JMeter or Locust scripts.
- Identifies dynamic values and drafts correlation rules.
- Validates candidates across runs and explains each change.
- Outputs runnable tests you can review, adjust, and ship.
Built to support testers, not replace them
LoadMagic is not about replacing performance testers. It is about removing the grind so we can focus on thinking, testing, and learning faster.
